Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Overall Responsibilities                                                                                                                                       

Handle end to end cost analysis and product engineering– from Design, inspiration to adoption -  ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and right CO within ISC

 

  • Be well versed with costs and performance parameters of various components of Garments

 – Fabrics – (Knits, Wovens, Denim, Sweater, Outerwear, Swimwear, Lingerie, Socks)

- Dyeing and Processing methods and costs

-Trims – local, Imported

Cut Make & Trim charges – know the SMV, SAM of various garments

-Value added services: printing, embroidery, washing, applique

- Testings – fabric, garment, traceability

-Transportation and logistics cost

- Overheads, Profit of the manufacturing organization

- Productivity, factory and line efficiencies

  • Familiar with INCO terms, duty structure of US and European markets, HTS codes
  • Familiar with factory and vendor base in Bangladesh and other India sub-continent countries.
  • Coordinate the Price Negotiation with suppliers
  • Coordinate all operational activities from costing to proto sample development
  • Collaborate with Overseas teams, suppliers & merchandising teams to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
  • Assess capacity and capability of vendors and factories
  • Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
  • Build constructive customer/supplier relationships and teams with all channel partners.
  • Time to time reporting to business leader as per requirements
  • Take care of any Ad-hoc projects
  • Communicate with buyers/Merchant teams on a regular basis to provide up-to-date info with regard to the status of production and shipment of garments.
  • Follow the guidelines on the assigned product categories and being the key communicator for the assigned product areas in the business stream.

 

  • Risk analysis / assessment at proto stage, diagnose production problems and work with suppliers to present alternatives to buyers and line seniors.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

Additional Requirements                                                                                                                                       

  • 8-10 years working experience in merchandising, cost analysis, buying
  • Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, knits and Denim products.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented.
  • Professional qualification in related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel etc.
