Overall Responsibilities
Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the merchandising team, fostering professional growth and development.
Set performance goals, delegate tasks, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Develop and execute a comprehensive merchandising strategy for handbags, collaborating with the team to analyze market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
Sourcing & Production:
Work closely with design and the team to plan handbag collections that align with brand vision.
Oversee pricing strategies and SKU allocation, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, managing negotiations related to terms, pricing, and quality standards.
Guide team input and analysis of data, contributing to regular reports and insights.
Foster collaboration across teams to align efforts and achieve business goals. (margin, cost, lead time, quality, WIP)
Other Tasks assigned by senior leaders.
Must have:
Proven experience in the sourcing and merchandising field, specifically with handbags, within the US market.
In-depth knowledge of handbag materials, trims, and the entire supply chain in the local market.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working across diverse teams.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; detail-oriented and meticulous.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products.
