Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Overall Responsibilities


Sourcing, costing and Product Development
• Source, evaluate and maintain a strong network of reliable suppliers. Develop a proper vendor matrix and sourcing strategy
• Ensure the right vendor allocation aligned with NY side from the beginning to avoid development and production risk later on
• Track and evaluate cost sheet and target margins, identifying areas for cost savings and ensure adherence to budget.
• Participate in cost negotiation and product and value engineering to optimize order profitability
• Ensure all products comply with relevant safety, social and environmental regulations
• Support raw material and product newness sourcing efforts and help maintain supplier relationships to promote timely and quality material supply.
• Monitor sampling process and ensure submissions on time for NY and customer approval and market presentation
• Review and validate all order details including tech packs, fabrics, trims, pricing, construction and delivery timelines

 

Production follow up

• Manage and follow up on submissions and approvals of Fit sample , PP sample , AD sample, TOP sample and shipment samples on time with the right quality
• Monitor WIP and production schedules closely to ensure on-time delivery.
• Participate pre-production meetings to ensure all internal departments (product development, technical, QAC) and factories are aligned on customer requirements.
• Proactively track production progress, identifying and resolving potential delays to ensure on time delivery
• Manage factory proper follow up of on time booking, shipping document submission and cargo handover

 

Others
• Provide regular updates to management on product development and production status, potential risks and key metrics like on time delivery and defect rates
• Coordinate with local teams across different countries to ensure a global alignment and execution along the whole product development and production process.
• Help identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost control.
• Actively drive options and solutions in product costing and development.
• Coach, guide and train team members and drive team performance

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

Additional Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textiles, Apparel, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in merchandising or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a team management role.
• In-depth knowledge of end-to-end merchandising processes from development to shipment, with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, PLM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong stress tolerance and customer service orientation.
• Fluent English communication skills.

 

Competency Requirements (if applicable)
Behavioral Competencies:
• University Degree or above
• Clear logic, good communication skills, good problem-solving ability and sense of responsibility.
• Actively communicate and coordinate with teams and NA team

 

Language Proficiency:
Fluent English (speaking, reading and written)
