Overall Responsibilities
The Production Merchandiser is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the production process to ensure that products are manufactured according to quality standards, deadlines, and cost targets. This role involves liaising between design, sourcing, quality assurance and production teams to ensure smooth communication and execution of orders.
• Facilitate production WIP alignment across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate production capacity and lead time alignment across departments to the level of category and factory.
• Coordinate with design, sourcing, quality assurance, suppliers, and factories to ensure timely production of merchandise.
• Oversee production readiness, including PPS/TOP approval, packaging instruction and ETD monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor vendor performance metrics in production, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to optimize supply chain operation.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in production merchandising within the fashion/apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, sourcing, and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines, along with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and Excel.
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and manufacturing techniques.
