Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Overall Responsibilities

 

• Develop and implement a thorough merchandising strategy for the handbag & Accessories category that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor landscapes. Collaborate closely with the design and product development teams. Provide valuable recommendations for product assortment and positioning.
• Source and collaborate with suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality handbags that meet our brand standards and customer expectations.
• Analyze the product development timetable to ensure efficient and timely delivery of new handbag and accessory designs. Identify bottlenecks, roadblocks, and areas for improvement in the development process, and propose solutions for optimized timelines.
• Sample Quality & Technical Support – Assist merchandisers with sample quality concerns and providing technical guidance as needed.
• Monitor and analyze the production work-in-progress(WIP) until the shipment booking process, ensuring that every step is taken care of and completed on time. Continuously strive to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the handbag merchandising team, promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Regularly evaluate performance, offer constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

Additional Requirements

 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in handbag & accessories merchandising, preferably within the fashion industry.
• Strong knowledge of handbag, accessories, materials, and construction techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in product development & production, vendor management, and assortment planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and developing a team.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and software.
